About Jackie Incorvia
Jackie Incorvia is an E-RYT 500 with over 1000 hours of training experience and over 8500 hours of teaching experience. She began practicing yoga in 2005 and has been teaching since 2009, working with a wide range of practitioners from brand new beginners to those studying to become yoga teachers. Jackie teaches full-time on the north shore of Long Island, NY, and is available to work privately with individuals and small groups in addition to her public regularly-scheduled classes that meet weekly. She specializes in working with chronic conditions and injuries, integrating her knowledge of anatomy and dynamic movement into the practice, as well as weaving in the philosophical teachings of yoga and the unseen, less obvious elements of the practice that can be deeply influential to mind, body, and soul.
Open to All Levels
A practice suitable to all levels, incorporating some weight bearing on the hands (i.e. plank poses, upward facing dog, downward facing dog), as well as standing, seated, and reclined postures held about 5 breaths each with appropriate warm up and cool down before closing meditation, all with ample instruction. Poses will work on mobilization as well as stabilization, and instruction will be given on breathing throughout the practice.
Offered: Tuesdays 6:30pm, Wednesdays 6:30pm, Fridays 8:30am
Can be attended with a package purchased through this website or through Mindful Turtle*
This class will take place entirely from a chair, making it ideal for those who have injuries or conditions that prohibit bearing weight in the hands or the feet. We will focus on breathing, gentle stretching, and some mild strengthening. All you need is a chair (preferably one without arms) and a non-skid surface beneath. If you have a strap, tie, scarf, or belt as well, it would be helpful.
Offered: Mondays 9:30am
Can be attended with a package purchased through this website only*

Poses will work on mobilization as well as stabilization, and instruction will be given on breathing throughout the practice.
