Join Jackie for a nurturing, healing, and restorative experience for any one at any time! Restorative Yoga involves seated, supine, and prone postures held for 5-10 minutes each with the use of props to promote deeper relaxation and a meditative state. Long holds in asana (postures) allow us to access connective tissue (ligaments, tendons, and fascia), increasing circulation and promoting healing, while slow and gentle breathing helps to trigger the parasympathetic nervous system, allowing the body to move into “rest and digest” mode, influencing healthy digestion, respiration, heart rate, and more. This special workshop incorporates meditation and visualization techniques, as well as the use of essential oils and Himalayan singing bowls to calm, ground, and center us.
